Ahne Studio was engaged by Canada Lands Corporation (CLC) and MST Development – the development body for the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations – to work with MST Cultural Liaisons in translating community input and knowledge to City of Vancouver policy for this 90-acre site on the west side of the city.

In the languages spoken by the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw means “a good land”.
